Primary Purpose
In keeping with our 1st Tradition "Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends on NA unity." our 5th Tradition "Each group has but one primary purpose - to carry the message to the addict who still suffers." and the 1st Concept for NA Service "To fulfill our fellowship's primary purpose, the NA groups have joined together to create a structure which develops, coordinates, and maintains services on behalf of NA as a whole." The CTNA Website Primary Purpose is to carry the message to the addict who still suffers and to promote NA unity.
Spam Policy
To avoid being permanently added to the black list, please do not send advertising, chain letters, forwarded messages (that do not pertain to the content of the website) or messages that pertain to a dispute within the fellowship to the webservant or alternate webservant.
Due to excessive spam the CTNA website has created a spam policy. The webservant and alternate webservant are trusted servant positions, we answer e-mails in our spare time, we do not get paid, and we are not available full-time to answer e-mails. Therefore, we need to prioritize our responses to legitimate e-mails and to apply the 12 traditions and the 12 concepts to all e-mail communication to the best of our ability. E-mails that further our primary purpose or promote NA unity will be given priority.
If you send mail determined by the webservant or alternate webservant to be spam other than advertising, you will be asked to stop sending mail of this type. If you send advertising you may be added to the black list immediately, and without warning. This is because professional spammers, who send unsolicited e-mail illegally, rely on replies and image downloads/opening of attachments to find out if an e-mail address is valid and if the mail is being read. If you have been asked to remove our e-mail addresses from your mailing list and you continue to send spam after 10 days, or send more than 5 spam e-mails, you may be permanently added to our black list. If you are added to our black list all of your messages will be permanently deleted and you will no longer receive a response.
Any person who does not receive a response to e-mail addressed to the webservant or alternate webservant may send a written letter to:
Connecticut Region of Narcotics Anonymous
PO Box 1817, Meriden, CT 06450.
Or when applicable an NA member may petition the service body in question for the redress of grievances, as stated in the 10th Concept for NA Service "Any member of a service body can petition that body for the redress of a personal grievance, without fear of reprisal."
